# Pulse Editor Quick Start
|
|
|
|
|
|
After starting the Pulse Explorer, click the `Start Pulse Editor` button
|
|
|
|
|

## Load a patient state.
|
|
|
|
|
|
From the Patient Editor tab, click the `Load State` button
|
|
|
|

Choose the `StandardMale@0s.pbb` file
|
|
|
|
|
|
Note that a *.json state is also available.
|
|
|
Both the `json` and `pbb` files are valid state files.
|
|
|
`json` is in an ASCII, human readable format, and the `pbb` file contains the state in a binary format provided by the google protobuf library.
|
|
|
|
|
|
## Start the engine
|
|
|
|
|
|
Click the `Start Engine` button to begin the Pulse Simulation
|
|
|
|
|
|

## Create a Hemorrhage Action
|
|
|
|
|
|
Open the Actions tab, expand the `Hemorrhage` action, provide the following data, and click `Apply`
|

|

|
|
|
The action will immediately be applied to the engine, as noted in the Log window.
|
|
|
|
|
|
## Create a Data Request
|
|
|
|
|
|
Open the Data Request Tab, and click the `New Plot Set` button, and set the following fields.

Once set, click the `Create` button.
|
|
|
|
|
|
## Speed up Time
|
|
|
|
|
|
Experiment with the `Real-time Lock` check box to allow time to advance more quickly and the effects of the hemorrhage.
|
|
|
|
|
|
## Save a Scenario
|
|
|
|
|
|
Open the Scenario Tab, and click the `Save Scenario` button, and save a json file to disk.
|
|
|
|
|
|
## Load and Run a Scenario
|
|
|
|
|
|
To replay what you just did, click on the `Clear Editor` button from the Engine Controls.
|
|
|
|
|
|
From the `Scenario` tab, choose the `Load Scenario` button and select the scenario file you just saved.

|
|
|
|

Click the `Start Engine` button, and the Explorer will automatically create the Date Requests you made, and will execute the hemorrhage action at the same time you originally added it. |
