Uniformize RegisterPickers() method

Uniformize the RegisterPickers() method across all the widgets to make sure to check for the validity of the picking manager. This completes the work started in 8e4f2f7c.

CC: @utkarsh.ayachit: I think this should fix your issue. I haven't tried it on paraview yet however.
