Problem compiling libQVTK.dylib with vtk-5.2.0 and qt-4.4.1
This issue was created automatically from an original Mantis Issue. Further discussion may take place here.
Hi, As of qt-4.4.0, qt supports the cocoa frameworks on Mac OS X 10.5. I just compiled the open source version of qt-4.4.1 and it compiled successfully with the cocoa frameworks.
I tried to compile vtk-5.2.0 using the cocoa framework and turned on GUI_SUPPORT and QVTK, but I get the following error Linking CXX shared library ../bin/libvtkViewsTCL.dylib [ 73%] Built target vtkViewsTCL Linking CXX shared library ../../bin/libQVTK.dylib Undefined symbols: "vtkCarbonRenderWindow::UpdateGLRegion()", referenced from: QVTKWidget::DirtyRegionProcessor(OpaqueEventHandlerCallRef*, OpaqueEventRef*, void*) in QVTKWidget.o ld: symbol(s) not found collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make[2]: *** [bin/libQVTK.5.2.0.dylib] Error 1 make[1]: *** [GUISupport/Qt/CMakeFiles/QVTK.dir/all] Error 2 make: *** [all] Error 2
I am trying to build a qt and vtk app using cocoa frameworks. I have not used carbon frameworks before and I have spent some time learning the cocoa frameworks and Xcode 3.1.
