vtkKdTree looks broken

When creating a new vtkKdTree and running BuildLocator() as done by https://examples.vtk.org/site/Cxx/DataStructures/VisualizeKDTree/ it seems that the tree is not created as it should (debugger shows that in vtkKdTree.cxx line 780, a call to this->NewGeometry() makes the function return without actually generating the tree).

Program output is then filled by lines like that, complaining that BuildLocator() did not allocate this->Top
