Revert "add button to hide logs"

reverts some commits regarding "Show logs" which seems to break stuff.
I don't have the time currently to look into it and try to fix it, thus the revert

I had a quick look through the MRs since 27 Feb and I can't see anything that would have caused issues there.

hey @amaclean , it did broke the display of the interactive examples in the final built website. So nothing would show up in the logs. The display is still clunky though, I shall take a look in the next days
