ENH: remove import warning for non-embedded interpreter

Isaiah requested to merge github/fork/ihnorton/remove_nonembedded_warning into master

Having used this (#894) for a while, the (repeated) warnings are annoying, especially when writing tests. Any objection to removing the warning?
