ParaView fails in confusing way when creating screenshot

This issue was created automatically from an original Mantis Issue. Further discussion may take place here.

ParaView fails in a really confusing way when writing a screenshot when it cannot correctly figure out the extension.

If you try to save to the following file, it will just not write the screenshot:

test.abc

test.abc.jpg works. So does test.jpg, and just plain test.

Recommended workaround - If there is a period, and if there is an extension, and if that extension is not recognized, just take the one that the user selected from the pull down menu.

Alternative workaround - bring up an error dialog box.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
