X-Y plot keeps deleted object's variables in legend

This issue was created automatically from an original Mantis Issue. Further discussion may take place here.

If you delete a pipeline object that is visible in an X-Y plot, the plotted variables remain in the legend, even after you add another object to the plot. To replicate the problem, do the following.

  1. Create an object with point or cell data (like the Wavelet source).
  2. Run the Plot Over Line filter. The X-Y chart will appear.
  3. Delete the Plot Over Line filter. Notice that the plot area will clear, but the legend will remain the same.
  4. Run the Plot Over Line filter again. The legend will now have duplicates of all the variables.
To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have admin enable hashed storage. More information
