Point and line widgets jump when moved
This issue was created automatically from an original Mantis Issue. Further discussion may take place here.
When manipulating a point 3D widget or one of the ends of a line 3D widget, the point is supposed to move in the plane parallel to the viewing plane. Instead, the points seem to snap to some arbitrary plane.
Here is how to demonstrate the problem:
- Create a source (sphere, wavelet, disk_out_ref, it doesn't matter).
- Make sure the view is aligned with the Z axis (you can use the +Z or -Z toolbar buttons).
- Create a plot over line filter. (You don't have to accept.)
- Note the location of the two points. Now move one of them. Because the view is parallel to the X-Y plane, we expect the Z value of that point location to be constant. Instead, it snaps to about 0.
The point 3D widget behaves similarly.
