SNL: Possible to open up files that don't exist

This issue was created automatically from an original Mantis Issue. Further discussion may take place here.

It is possible to open up files that don't exist. For instance, on ParaView 2.6 on XP, in the "Open Recent File" entry, I have /home/wascott/can.exo. This directory does not exist on my local XP box, but ParaView acts like it has opened it.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
