SNL: Crash with empty dataset and Ordered Compositing
This issue was created automatically from an original Mantis Issue. Further discussion may take place here.
If a node has no data and enable ordered compositing is checked, pvserver crashes with the following error:
Process id: 0 >> ERROR: In /projects/viz/paraview/src/ParaView/2.4.4/ParaView/VTK/Parallel/vtkPKdTree.cxx, line 329 vtkPKdTree (0xac4c1c0): (process 0) VolumeBounds - degenerate volume
Process id: 1 >> ERROR: In /projects/viz/paraview/src/ParaView/2.4.4/ParaView/VTK/Parallel/vtkPKdTree.cxx, line 329 vtkPKdTree (0xb8d8840): (process 1) VolumeBounds - degenerate volume
To replicate the problem:
- Start paraview in client/server mode with 2 servers
- Make sure enable ordered compositing is off
- Open an Exodus file
- Apply a threshold that results in an empty dataset (set threshold range to something outside the current variable range)
- Enable ordered compositing
- rotate the (empty) dataset
