Improvement to pqCameraDialog controls
The "Manipulate Camera" section of pqCameraDialog is a bit clunky, and could be easily improved. Here is the old version:
Problems with the above include:
- Reversing the direction of change requires first negating the value in the spin box
- Large adjustments to the orientation delta can require text input, or many clicks on the spin box
- dialing in the desired orientation can be a clumsy operation involving frequent switching between keyboard input and mouse clicks
Making two changes can greatly improve the ease of interaction with these parameters:
- Splitting the single "apply" button to be positive and negative apply buttons
- Changing the spin box to scale by multiples of 2, rather than adding/subtracting a constant increment (i.e., pressing up on the spin box doubles the value, and pressing down halves the value)
