pvpython on macOS reports non-existing vtkpython executable
The pvpython
that ships with the precompiled Paraview 5.9.0 binaries for macOS from https://www.paraview.org/download/ reports a non-existing vtkpython
executable:
$ pvpython -c "import sys; print(sys.executable)"
/Applications/ParaView-5.9.0.app/Contents/Libraries/vtkpython
This path does not exist.
Is there a way to figure out the actual Python executable that pvpython
refers to? I'm trying to create a venv from the Python executable to install packages like h5py
and use them with paraview.simple
scripts, but due to the faulty sys.executable
the venv creation with pvpython -m venv
fails. If there's a preferred/supported way to do that sort of thing, I'd also be grateful for some pointers :)
