ParaView 5.9 RC2 binary Ubuntu 18.04: NVIDIA Optix Pathtracer is not enabled
ParaView 5.8 RC2 binary does not enable NVIDIA Optix on my Ubuntu 18.04. It does work with ParaView 5.8.1 binary. It might be related to an error I see for nvidia-smi, but as I said it does work for ParaView 5.8.1 binary. Here is the output for nvidia-smi:
[~/external/ParaView-5.8.1-MPI-Linux-Python3.7-64bit]$ nvidia-smi /usr/bin/nvidia-modprobe: unrecognized option: “-s” ERROR: Invalid commandline, please run /usr/bin/nvidia-modprobe --help for usage information. /usr/bin/nvidia-modprobe: unrecognized option: “-s” ERROR: Invalid commandline, please run /usr/bin/nvidia-modprobe --help for usage information.
