Remote server acts different than builtin

I have two datasets from a user that acts differently between builtin server and remote server. Here is how to replicate:

  • 5.8.0, builtin, Linux.

  • Open TroyTest.h5part. Apply.

  • Move forward and back in time. Lines will appear and disappear. Number of lines matches timestep. This is expected behavior.

  • 5.8.0, remote server (I have 16 ranks, I bet it replicates with 1 or 2), Linux.

  • Open TroyTest.h5part. Apply.

  • Move forward and back in time. Lines will turn into random points, or disappear totally. This is a bug.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
