save animation is broken for large movies

Save animation is broken for large movies. Furthermore, once ParaView gets in this weird state, normal save animation is broken. Finally, the only way to fix it is to delete your configuration files. Here is how to replicate.

  • Linux, master (v5.3.0-325-gb1eb299f), local server.
  • Make ParaView be full screen.
  • Open can.exo. Apply.
  • -Z.
  • File/ Save Animation. x2 (making the output image twice as large). OK.
  • Save this somewhere.
  • Look at one of the frames, for instance 30. It will look really weird, with red blocks spread around the screen. You will also get the following output:

QSortFilterProxyModel: index from wrong model passed to mapFromSource QSortFilterProxyModel: index from wrong model passed to mapFromSource QSortFilterProxyModel: index from wrong model passed to mapFromSource QSortFilterProxyModel: index from wrong model passed to mapFromSource

Your .config files are now corrupt, and the only way to fix it is to delete them

@cory-quammen @utkarsh.ayachit - I think this is a show stopper for the isc release.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
