## Possible negative magnitude when coloring by vectors with angular periodic filter

**This issue was created automatically from an original Mantis Issue. Further discussion may take place here.**

The range on the color bar sometimes gives strange results when using the Angular Periodic Filter. In particular it is possible to get negative values for a vector magnitude. To replicate, do the following.

- Create a plane source. Origin = [0,0,0], Point1 = [1,0,0], Point2 = [0,1,0]. Apply.
- Add the calculator filter. Make the expression "coords" (just the point coordinates). Apply.
- Add Angular Periodic Filter. Rotation Angle = 90. Axis = Z. Apply.
- Color by "Result" and "Magnitude"

Note that the range of the magnitude starts at -1, which is clearly wrong.
