TextureMapToSphere is wrong or needs more options

I have a user that wants to map the world to a sphere. ParaView 3.6.2, XP, local server.
Sources/ Sphere. Theta resolution == 128. Phi Resolution = 128. Filters/ Alphabetical/ TextureMapToSphere. Use the world map, found at http://www.oera.net/How2/PlanetTexs/EarthMap_2500x1250.jpg. (Enter this on the Display tab)
Notice that u of the u,v pair, goes from 0-1, then 1-0. Shouldn't it go from 0-1 (i.e., u==0 at degrees == 0, u == 0.5 at degrees == 180, and u = 1.0 at degrees = 360)? Either this is a bug, or a feature that should be added.
