I saw your issue in VTK forum and your MR. Actually I exactly find same problem with you. After I try several ways(including your solution) to fix the problem of using QTouchEvent::TouchPoint::id(), I find that single touch event still not work because there's no TouchEventUpdate until I put 2 fingers on the screen.\ In my case the TouchEventBegin is received and the vtk command:LeftButtonPressEvent is exectued.
So I wonder whether you have perfectly solve the touch and gesture problem in QVTK.
I'll be very appreciate if you can give any advice to me to solve this problem.
