Don't clear the selection.

Aron Helser requested to merge aron.helser/rgg-session:avoid_clearing_selection into master

The selection was being cleared intentionally to avoid drawing the core and assemblies with the purple selection color. This prevents choosing relevant operations based on the selection.

We need another way to avoid drawing purple cores.
