Fix buid issues

John Tourtellott requested to merge john.tourtellott/ace3p-extensions:build-fixes into master

We got a bit careless yesterday and merged some obsolete/incompatible code. This corrects things so ace3p-extensions:master builds again. It also fixes a handful of compiler warnings.
