New paraview

Ben Boeckel requested to merge ben.boeckel/cmb-superbuild:new-paraview into master

Brings together smtk!1693 (merged) and cmb!698 (merged) with many updates from ParaView master.

Related to cmb/plugins/adh-extensions!17 (merged) which updates one plugin over to the new model.

Todo:

  • (patch file attached) Adding liblas to the superbuild for the VTK::IOLAS module
  • Packaging the new plugin infrastructure
  • Testing (build trees work, but once the plugin bits are installed properly, the package should work as well)

This MR is set up so that others can push to the source branch. Instructions are in the MR description header area.

Patch file for liblas: 0001-Add-liblas-now-required-by-paraview-VTK_MODULE_ENABL.patch I did not have permission to push onto branch (john). Only verified that it builds on linux.
