Windows modelbuilder/ACE3P packaged-builds CANNOT access https URLs
My homebrew modelbuilder/ace3p package for Windows (on May 28) can access https://ace3p.kitware.com, however, our nightly-build packages cannot. To duplicate:
- Download the latest modelbuilder package file from https://data.kitware.com/#collection/58fa68228d777f16d01e03e5/folder/60ad4ed02fa25629b9adf3cf . I used 2021-07-06. (I also used Windows Sandbox -- if you do that, remember to copy the mesa opengl.dll file into the bin directory. There is a copy of it in the folder at https://data.kitware.com/#collection/58fa68228d777f16d01e03e5/folder/60aec7232fa25629b9b67a2a .
- Unzip and start modelbuilder
- Use the "File" => "Import Operation..." menu to load a test operation that is included in the package, at e.g.
modelbuilder-ace3p-Windows-210706\share\cmb\workflows\ACE3P\internal\ExportConnectTest.py
. An "operation succeeded" message will be written to the "Output Messages" view. - Open the operation view ("View" => "Operations") and double click the
ExportConnectTest.ExportConnectTest
item. - In the "Operation Editor" click the "Apply" button.
- A second "operation succeeded" message should be written to the "Output Messages" view, but instead we get the all-too-familiar missing-ssl message:
WARNING: In C:\Users\WDAGUtilityAccount\Desktop\cmb-software\modelbuilder-ace3p-windows-210706\bin/Lib/site-packages\smtk\io\__init__.py, line 58: Can't connect to HTTPS URL because the SSL module is not available.
