CMake Error(s): Option to print whole message on one line like gcc -fmessage-length=0
Hello,
by doing automated tests on opensource software I noticed, for example, that in most cases when a c/c++ application fails to build, the equivalent of $( cat $BUILD_LOG | grep "error:" | head -1)
gives the exact error.
When you use -fmessage-length=0
you are sure that everything is in that line.
When something fails during configuration, CMake does not print everything in one lineand it is a bit difficult find the error with regexp. Is there something like -fmessage-length=0
for cmake?
If not, is something you accept as a feature request? maybe print error in one line if a CMAKE_* variable is exported.
Thanks
