CMake 3.28.0 has random segmentation faults in its test suite on Debian ppc64
Starting with CMake 3.28, the test suite exhibits random segmentation faults and related test failures on ppc64el. The build logs of the attempted Debian builds show no apparent pattern in the failed tests. Both the big endian and little endian architecture variant suffer from the same problem, on multiple machines.
Given that PowerPC has a relatively weak memory consistency model, it is conceivable that this is triggered by a newly introduced, architecture-specific race condition in the code, but I don't know the codebase well enough to tell if that is a lead worth pursuing.
