Feature request: ability to set default/global value for VS_DEBUGGER_ENVIRONMENT target property
On Windows, I have a project that uses external dependencies that contain shared libraries, and have enough information about the location of all directories that contain DLLs that are needed at runtime.
When using the Visual Studio generators, I would like to be able to set the VS_DEBUGGER_ENVIRONMENT
for PATH to point to this list of directories, for all executables. Currently, I am able to do so by setting this property for each executable target.
Would it be possible for this target property to have a similar behaviour as others, where we have a variable (e.g. CMAKE_VS_DEBUGGER_ENVIRONMENT
), that, if defined, is used as the default value for this property on executable targets?
This would enable launching executables from the Visual Studio IDE (mainly for debugging), without relying on DLL copying, or having to set this property individually for each executable target.
