Show CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX when running cmake_install.cmake scripts
During project configuration, CMake
generates cmake_install.cmake
snippets that will guide the installation of the built project, which in turn is guided by the value of the CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX
variable. When building multiple projects (i.e., dependencies), and/or building projects where --install-prefix <some value>
is specified, it is not always clear where a given (sub)project will be installed.
The simple patch I'm proposing (see !7424 (closed)) will have every generated cmake_install.cmake
script print out the value of CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX
being used.
