--target is missing in 3.20.3
Hello,
I am not sure if it is a bug or a feature that got deprecated (though I cannot find any equivalent).
In version 3.20.3 (with the binaries from https://cmake.org/download/ , Linux x86_64), if I try to use the --target
option, I get :
$ cmake --target my-target ..
CMake Error: Unknown argument --target
CMake Error: Run 'cmake --help' for all supported options.
If I run cmake --help
, indeed --target
does not appear anywhere!
And yet, if I look at the online documentation for the same version (3.20.3), there is an option --target
..
https://cmake.org/cmake/help/latest/manual/cmake.1.html
What am I missing? Did --target
become deprecated (and replaced with something else?), or is it a bug in 3.20.3?
Thanks for your replies!
