Help: Rendered form of architecture and toolset definition list items in presets manual is confusing
In the presets manual, the architecture
and toolset
items have been merged to share a single combined description. The way this is rendered, the two key names appear side-by-side, which makes them somewhat confusing for the reader (it isn't obvious to a new reader that they are in fact separate options). Ideally, if they are going to be combined like this, the key names should appear each on their own line rather than side-by-side. I experimented briefly with the following form:
| ``architecture``
| ``toolset``
Optional fields representing the platform and toolset, respectively, for ...
This appeared to give the desired result for HTML, but for man pages it resulted in losing the newline between architecture
and the description of the previous item. I don't know if this is a bug in the sphinx generator or just a sign that raw blocks and definition lists are not meant to be used together in this way.
Anyone got other ideas for how to improve the way this particular case can be rendered without separating them and repeating the description?
