C# WPF project can't add new Window using Visual Studio IDE
In researching this issue, it turns out that .csproj files require an additional PropertyGroup element in order to designate this as a WPF project.
I verified that adding the following line (ProjectTypeGuids) to the .csproj and reloaded, which then gave me proper functionality via Visual Studio's UI, such as "Add -> Window (WPF)" and several other WPF-specific items, which otherwise was not available.
<PropertyGroup Label="Globals">
...
<ProjectTypeGuids>{60dc8134-eba5-43b8-bcc9-bb4bc16c2548};{FAE04EC0-301F-11D3-BF4B-00C04F79EFBC}</ProjectTypeGuids>
...
</PropertyGroup>
I did a search through the latest documentation and didn't find any way to designate a project as a WPF project, which I think may be necessary for this feature. So, perhaps a property like VS_WPF_PROJECT
is needed.
The project still builds and runs fine, as this appears to only affect IDE functionality.
