file(GENERATE),configure_file: missing output does not re-run cmake
The CMAKE_CONFIGURE_DEPENDS
property behaves different if I'm using configure_file
or file(GENERATE ...)
. At least in version 3.13 which I'm using at the moment.
The file will be automatically re-created once it has been deleted if configure_file
is used. However the file is not re-created if I'm using file(GENERATE ...)
.
Is this the desired behavior? If so, why? And is there any chance to automatically re-create the file that has been generated via file(GENERATE ...)
?
