CHECK_FUNCTION_EXISTS documentation is vague: should it find functions in libm.so?
I've encountered the problem that CHECK_FUNCTION_EXISTS doesn't find the function 'clog' on FreeBSD that is defined in libm.so. CHECK_FUNCTION_EXISTS documentation says that it looks if the function "is provided by libraries on the system". In reality, it only looks in libc.so.
The question is: Is CHECK_FUNCTION_EXISTS supposed to check libm.so too? There are quite a few system libraries on FreeBSD, but libm.so is the "closest" to libc.so, with various math functions defined there.
In any case, documentation should be clarified and should explain in which "libraries on the system" does CHECK_FUNCTION_EXISTS look for symbols.
