Website, documentation - make cmake-buildsystem page easier to find
When I first started learning CMake from scratch, It was almost unapproachable for me. I didn't understand the core concepts behind the incantations provided in the tutorials, and was looking for something that explained, at a high level, what the underlying concepts and the point of CMake was. The cmake-buildsystem page was the page that finally helped me understand what this tool was about, and helped me "grok" it to feel more confident in my exploration of both C++ projects that used it and the documentation about the specific commands and variables.
It seems, based on multiple (uncited here) stack overflow Q&A's and blog posts, that CMake's documentation is still hard to understand, and I'm not alone in finding CMake difficult to approach, especially in my company, but I believe that finding the cmake-buildsystem page earlier could have helped me understand it much quicker, and for anyone looking to get a deep understanding of how CMake works, this page could be very useful to them as well.
I'm wondering if we can somehow make this address: https://cmake.org/cmake/help/latest/manual/cmake-buildsystem.7.html easier to find for new people looking to understand CMake. Perhaps a paragraph somewhere on the main front page explaining how to get into the docs would help.
Feel free to close if this isn't the right place for this, but I wanted to share here my experience in learning CMake, and what finally helped me understand it, and I hope we can find a way to make demystifying it to new people easier.
