cmake 3.6 rc4 fails inside Linux Subsystem for Windows
Latest Windows 10 now can provides a full native Ubuntu 14.04 userland executing unmodified Linux binaries. Installing the prebuilt Linux x64 binary for cmake 3.6 rc4 works as expected, however calling it on any project yields a failure to invoke GCC because no test C file is written out.
I attach a ZIP archive containing a trace of cmake's execution. This could be a bug in cmake's detection of the "Linux" environment, or in Microsoft's syscall thunking layer.cmake_failure_trace.tgz
