vtkImageDifference asymmetrical result issue
vtkImageDifference
creates asymmetrical results for some images, i.e. using inputs A/B may have different result than using B/A. However vtkImageDifference
claims to be symmetrical.
This has consequences for rendering tests which make use of vtkImageDifference
. It has been observed that tests with substantial modifications of the test image versus the baseline image have passed (false positive).
See MR9428 for more details.
