Problem with vtkXMLMultiBlockDataWriter and "~"
This issue was created automatically from an original Mantis Issue. Further discussion may take place here.
If you use ~ in the filename the writer runs into trouble. For example if you use "~/foo.vtm" as the filename, it will create the directory but will fail to write any files (including the top level vtm file).
Here is a sample output: ERROR: In /Users/obara/projects/kitware/VTK/IO/XML/vtkXMLWriter.cxx, line 635 vtkXMLPolyDataWriter (0x7fd517979160): Error opening output file "~/assemblyOutput/assemblyOutput_842.vtp"
