      This will fix some tests, but isn't really what we want.  The
      issue is that we can't composite transparent surfaces correctly,
      since we lose the alphas before compositing.  Therefore we don't
      want transparent surfaces to overlap, and thus producing overlaps
      during resampling is a bad thing.
      
      However there appears to be a secondary bug in the resampler which
      results in gaps unless we allow overlaps.  Thus preventing
      overlaps means solid geometry doesn't look quite right.
      
      Current testing penalizes solid geometry for being wrong, but due
      to other bugs transparent geometry will work out anyway.  Thus I'm
      enabling overlaps for now.
