Resolving #631, removing 'using' statements from all header files. · ace3d1e1
      miller86 authored
As a consequence, a lot of source files needed fixing up too. There
were many cases where source files referred to STL classes but either
did not include the cooresponding C++ STL header or did not have a
using statement or did not have a 'std::' scope resolution.

I added a hook to prevent commits of header files with using statements
in them. I added skips for anything in vendor_branches, release and
      src/third_party_builtin and common/utility/visitstream.h (whose using
statements I think define a single symbol name such as cerr or endl).
Nonetheless, I still think visitstream.h might bare further scrutiny
      on this issue.

There are a number of other observations I had regarding header file
design and usage that I will send to visit-developers in a follow-up
      email.

I added the XRay Image query to visit. It creates an x ray image from
by casting rays through the data set using an absortivity and emisivity.
The absorbtivity and emisivity can be array variables in which case you
will get one image per array element. I still have some more work to
complete but this is a good starting point. I still need to implement
the cylindrical case and I will likely make some performance improvements.

The XRay Image query takes the following arguments:

output type, divide, x, y, z, radius, theta, phi, width, height,
      nx, ny, absvar, emisvar

      Here is a sample query:

      Query("XRay Image", "png", 1, 0.0, 2.5, 10.0, 0, 0, 10., 10., 400, 400,
            ("d", "p"))

I renamed the chord length and ray length queries and changed the names
of the curves they generated in the ultra file. Specifically, the new
      names of the queries are:

           Chord Length Distribution - individual
           Chord Length Distribution - aggregate
           Ray Length Distribution - individual
           Ray Length Distribution - aggregate

I also updated the regression suite to match the changes and changed the
baseline images of images that changed (the labels on the curves changed).

      1) I changed the year in the copyright notice from 2008 to 2009 in a
bunch of files. A total of 5231 files were changed.

      2) I corrected the LLNL review and release number in the copyright notices.
It turns out I transposed 2 of the digits in many of the files when I
originally put the new copyright notice in.

results in all components. This required moving some libutility code to
libmisc, hence the large number of changes (new header files).

I also modified the viewer so various properties were consolidated into a
ViewerProperties object accessible from the base class. This simplifies book
keeping of properties and makes them accessible to all subclasses.

I used the new ViewerProperties mechanism to conditionally add new menu options
to the popup menu that let the viewer launch gui, cli, or quit from the
      popup menu.

      * Fixed '7743, zone pick not working on a time-curve.

      * Fixed '8513, Issues with query (query-over-time of a variable other than the
variable of the originating plot would not get the variable name/ units
correct in the annotations). I also added the ability for a query-through
-time to use the query var and its units to set the Y-axis labels.
        (pick-through-time uses this).

      * Changed 'debug5' messages to 'debug4' (so that possibly
important messages could be seen without having to wade
through all the Xfer and ParentProcess stuff that's spit out
to debug5). Currently, this only includes files I touched to
help me find the pick/query bugs fixed above.
