      This required some clean up, because the automatic changes borked a couple of files, but mostly resulted in stupid whitespacing. A few find/replace fixed things up.
      
      There are now some duplicate semis because it did changes like:
      
        ~AMRIndexIterator() override{};
      to
        ~AMRIndexIterator() override= default;;
      
      Note there was a pointless semi before, which clang-tidy didn’t expect / account for.
      
      My next commit will remove them.

      Adding in functionality to allow inserting vtkNew objects into
      stl containers of vtkSmartPointer objects as well as comparisons
      between vtkNew objects and raw pointers. Also removing Get() and
      GetPointer() calls from vtkNew objects since in most instances we
      can just pass in the vtkNew<> object instead of having to use the
      Get() or GetPointer() methods to get the raw pointer.

      includes some manual and semi manual changes where
      clang-tidy would not be expected to work (such as in

      This commit reindents the code with the following utility:
      Utilities/Maintenance/vtk-reindent-code.py
      
      This utility changes the positions of the braces so that they are no
      longer indented relative to the code block they reside in.

      Rewrite all public&private dependency in module.cmake file · 6e113ad4

      The current dependency relationship in vtk is unclear and misleading.
      This MR tries to rewrite them based on header files inclusion of headers
      and source files in each module. Corner cases are considered and
      modules are sorted in alphabetical order to facilitate future reference.
      See details in my gitlab python based script project. In future we can continue
      using this script to clean the VTK Dependency easily from
      time to time.

      This is a fix for:
      #14310
      
      Windows applications that run for a long time report that rendered
      objects do not change. This is because the modified time on a Windows
      system is 32 bits. This causes overflows that defeat the modified time
      mechanism. This patch defines a new type, vtkMTimeType that is 64
      unsigned integer regardless of the architecture.
      
      A mechanism to provide backward compatibility is introduced. The
      preprocessor define "VTK_HAS_MTIME_TYPE" can be used in applications
      that must build against VTK versions that use the "unsigned long" type
      for MTime's.
      
      Methodology used to find MTime occurences:
      1) Identify files as follows:
         git grep "unsigned long" | grep ime | cut -d":" -f1,1 | sort | uniq
      2) Hand edit each of those files replacing "unsigned long" with
         "vtkMTimeType" where appropriate.
      3) Temporarily change typedef for vtkMTimeType to "double" to detect
         missing conversions

      1. Fixed TimerId type. vtkRenderWindowInteractor defines the TimerId
      type as int. vtkContextInteractorStyle now uses the same type.
      
      2. Fixed timer creation. OnSceneModifed() was repeatedly creating new
      timers even when previous one hadn't timed out yet. Fixed that. Also,
      RenderNow() ensures that old timers are destroyed.
      
      3. RenderNow() now uses Interactor->Render() rather than
      Interactor->GetRenderWindow()->Render(). vtkRenderWindowInteractor has
      API to control how and if an interaction should trigger a render on the
      window. Calling RenderWindow->Render() bypasses all that logic resulting
      is mismatch between how interactions work in Render views and Chart views.
      This fixes that issue.

      Modules which deal with a specialization of another module belong to the
      kit related to the specialization (i.e., FiltersParallel and
      IOParallelXML both belong to the vtkParallel kit) to avoid circular
      dependencies that arise when put into the same kit as the "lesser"
      module.

      Tcl does not support packages with digits in their names.  We map module
      names containing digits to alternative names for Tcl packages.
      Generalize the existing hard-coded mappings to use a per-module declared
      "TCL_NAME" instead.  Add a mapping for vtkIOXdmf2 -> vtkIOXdmfII.

      BUG: Modules missing membership in StandAlone or Rendering. · 453a2f95

      The StandAlone + Rendering groups should contain what was in VTK
      before modularization without turning on additional flags.
      
      The StandAlone group is a special group of all modules that need no
      external dependencies, such as Boost, MPI, etc. It does include
      modules that rely on third party libraries VTK can build (by
      default). It DOES NOT include modules that depend on OpenGL. Those
      modules are in the Rendering group.
      
      Several modules that meet the above criteria for membership in the
      StandAlone group did not specify their membership via the GROUPS
      StandAlone property. Also, several modules were missing from the
      Rendering group.
      
      This topic was verified by building the VTK Wiki Examples:
      http://www.vtk.org/Wiki/VTK/Examples/Cxx against an installed VTK that
      was built with only the StandAlone and Rendering properties enabled.

      The modular VTK build system is not yet mature.  The monolithic build
      files had a lot of infrastructure.  The modular build files reproduce
      much of the functionality but some features will need to be restored
