Volume rendering is missing polygons
This issue was created automatically from an original Mantis Issue. Further discussion may take place here.
- ParaView trunk. 4 servers, Linux client.
- Open file fluidNew.e.4.*. I will get this file to Berk/Utkarsh.
- Select TNDNEW, and load sets 5 and 6. Apply.
- Extract block. Select set Id 5 and 6. Apply. Leave as Color by Solid Color, and Surface.
- In the pipeline browser, select fluidNew. Threshold, Scalars should be TNDNEW, lower threshold 310, upper threshold 2610. Apply.
- Move forward one time step. (Is there a bug in the data for timestep 0, or is there a ParaView bug? If you miss this step, you cannot color by TNDNEW)
- Color by TNDNEW, and volume render. Color Editor. Color Space RGB, Choose Preset BlackBodyRadiation, OK, Make Default, close.
- go to time step 18. Rescale to Data Range.
- (Although not necessary, it is cool to bring up a scalar bar.)
- +Y. Rescale.
- Now, go forward one time step to step number 19. Notice the triangles dropping out of the gray ground plane. The square light gray triangle has triangles coming out of it also, and I believe there are triangles missing from the center of the fire.
- You can see this bug better if you rotate the scene.
- If you turn visibility off on the ExtractBlock OR the Threshold, the visible object changes, and shouldn't.
This one must be fixed for 3.6.
