Paraview 5.4 crashes X on Ubuntu Gnome 16.04 with Point Gaussian
Steps to reproduce:
Open the file: parts.tar.gz
Set display to "Point Gaussian"
In the Point Gaussian options set radius to 1, preset to sphere, array to radius and then tick "use scale array". (Another bug for me: I have to also click on "Edit" (Scale transfer function) and close the dialogue to get a proper display.)
Next switch the array to type (or id)
Watch the world burn, i.e. for me: all screens go black and X locks up (seen when sshing into the machine).
Some colleagues of mine using Mir (default Ubuntu) report freezing without black screens or in the best case ParaView crashes.
