ParaView crash (munmap_chunk(): invalid pointer) in remote connections via NX
This issue was created automatically from an original Mantis Issue. Further discussion may take place here.
Ubuntu Server 12.04 LTS amd64
Versions tested: ParaView-4.1.0-Linux-64bit (binary installer) ParaView-4.2.0-Linux-64bit (binary installer) ParaView-4.3.1-Linux-64bit (binary installer) ParaView-3.12.0 self compiled (version distributed along with OpenFOAM-2.1.1)
Remote graphic session: A) X-forwarding via SSH terminal (ssh -X user@host)
- all ParaView versions tested work like a charm.
B) Login via NX (X2Go software)
- self compiled version works fine, but crashes too often during normal operation. Stdout of one of those crashes, in this case during during zoom send in the attached file.
- none of the binary versions tested was able to start. They all load main window and while showing the pop-up logo sudden crash. Attached file contains also the messages of these crashes.
- rest of graphical applications work without problems.
I am not sure if this might be related to the graphic requirements. I hope you can tell me further about possible reasons for that kind of errors.
In case it helps:
