---
Using OS X (10.6.2 in my case), when PARAVIEW_INSTALL_DEVELOPMENT is turned on, and you do a "make install", the library paths in the executable binaries installed in the development tree at [install_prefix]/bin/ are incorrect.
So, when trying to do things like build a branded app against the installed development tree, I get things like:
dyld: Library not loaded: libvtkCommon.pv3.7.dylib
Referenced from: /usr/local/ParaView/bin/kwProcessXML
Reason: image not found
If I run "otool -L" on kwProcessXML (or on any app in that directory), the library paths don't point to the correct lib directories:
emo2:/usr/local/ParaView/bin> otool -L kwProcessXML
kwProcessXML:
libvtkCommon.pv3.7.dylib (compatibility version 0.0.0, current version 0.0.0)
libvtksys.pv3.7.dylib (compatibility version 0.0.0, current version 0.0.0)
/usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib (compatibility version 1.0.0, current version 123.0.0)
/usr/lib/libstdc++.6.dylib (compatibility version 7.0.0, current version 7.9.0)
It looks like the application installed at /Applications/ParaView 3.7.0.app/ has all of the correct paths, though, so this part is working fine.https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues/10376Files missing from install development tree2019-03-05T10:40:17-05:00Kitware RobotFiles missing from install development tree**This issue was created automatically from an original [Mantis Issue](http://paraview.org/Bug/view.php?id=10376). When PARAVIEW_INSTALL_DEVELOPMENT is turned on, and you do a "make install", there are some files missing from the resulting development tree:
1. On both OS X and Ubuntu I've run into pq3DWidgetImplementation.cxx.in and pq3DWidgetImplementation.h.in both being missing from [installRoot]/include/paraview-3.7/Qt/Components/
2. On Ubuntu where I had FFMPEG installed and VTK_USE_FFMPEG_ENCODER turned on, I got the error:
CMake Error at VTK/IO/cmake_install.cmake:40 (FILE):
file INSTALL cannot find file
"/home/emonson/Programming/ParaView_cvs/ParaView3/VTK/IO/vtkFFMPEGConfig.h"
to install.
Call Stack (most recent call first):
VTK/cmake_install.cmake:180 (INCLUDE)
cmake_install.cmake:97 (INCLUDE)
So, it was looking for this header file in the source tree rather than the build tree.https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues/10371VTHB writer does not work in parallel2019-03-05T10:40:17-05:00Kitware RobotVTHB writer does not work in parallel**This issue was created automatically from an original [Mantis Issue](http://paraview.org/Bug/view.php?id=10371). When a user opens a large dataset, ParaView will open it up in outline mode. After the user has changed it to surface mode, and then opens another filter, it comes up in outline mode again.
Initially, it should come up in outline mode for very large data. However, after that, filters should come up in the mode that the previous filter was set at. Thus, if the user has set render mode to surface for the reader, a clip should be surface mode also.https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues/10319Use image or gradient as background2019-03-05T10:40:18-05:00Kitware RobotUse image or gradient as background**This issue was created automatically from an original [Mantis Issue](http://paraview.org/Bug/view.php?id=10319).
