Port font scaling fix for previews (!4214) into master

Currently switching to preview mode does not scale fonts as it should. This MR ports the changes of !4214 (merged) from release to current master and fixes the issue.

Creating a source and a colorbar and switching to preview mode right now gives the left figure:

No matter which resolution we choose. The right one is the expected that matches the preview resolution and produced by the current MR.

Depends on vtk/vtk!7065 (merged)
