Extract over Time a bad name
This issue was created automatically from an original Mantis Issue. Further discussion may take place here.
If a user wants to plot a point or cell variable over time, (s)he is not going to look under "Extract over Time". Users are going to look for something like "Plot Over Time". Chances are, they will never find the filter if it starts with Extract.
In general, it is important that all the filters that produce a plot start with the word "Plot". Not only will they be placed someplace the user is likely to look, but they will also form a big block in the filters list that the user is unlikely to miss (i.e. they will find the functionality they did not know is there).
I'll close with an actual story punctuating the importance of a good name. About a month ago Dave Rogers, our manager, was showing PV 3 to a customer. Now, we had showed him the histogram functionality so he knew it was there. However, at the time the filter was listed under "Extract Histogram" and he could not find it even after looking up and down the filters list, probably looking at the correct entry several times without actually seeing it. Eventually, Dave gave up and assumed the histogram was not there yet after all.
