testing support for item views

We need more support for item views in the testing framework. the current selection is all that is supported now. We need to support check boxes. And hopfully support multiple selection, editing, and possibly others.
This needs to be done before we can add a good test for the Exodus XML capability.
To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
