Empty vtkMultiBlockDataSet can not be shown

Hello,

with ParaView-5.10 it is no longer possible to show a multi block data set, which contains no blocks. PvBatch will raise a RunTimeError if you try to. This makes almost all our script fail at some point and is extremely nasty to handle for us. The situation in which this is specifically tricky is the following:

Say you have a script that creates a series of plots based on intersection curves of a sweep of locations. Now if any one of these clips doesn't intersect a part of the given geometry, you can no longer show it and produce an 'empty' intersection curve. The same is true if you extract blocks based on wildcards which don't match any of the present blocks. So my question is if this was intended and is gonna stay like this, or if this is an unintended side-effect of the changes surrounding the switch to using selectors rather than index-based extraction.

Thank you very much

Jan
