Select cells through crashes

We have a bad select cells through crash. Here is how to replicate:

  • Open binary.vtu. ascii.vtu also fails every time. Tested with nightly for May 5, 2020. Name is: ParaView-5.8.0-636-gfeb34240. Linux does NOT crash, OS X reliably does. User reports that Windows also crashes.
  • Select Cells Through. Make a selection maybe the size of a quarter.

ParaView will crash.

Dataset and very good directions are here: https://discourse.paraview.org/t/paraview-crashes-when-trying-to-extract-selection-using-a-polyhedral-vtu-file-ascii-or-binary/4260/4

Original bug report said that sometimes an extract selection is necessary. Never was for me.

This one needs to be fixed for 5.9.0. @cory.quammen should it be fixed for 5.8.1?

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
