"Clip" filter: why is "invert" flag enabled by default?
As a user, I would expect the program to show by default my selection and not the opposite one (see attached snapshot). Indeed that was the case in the old releases, where "invert" flag was there as an option, but disabled by default... I noticed that this logic was flipped somewhere between releases 5.4.0 and 5.6.0, so I guess that there must have been a reason for such a change. IMHO, refining a data selection seems a more intuitive process than gradual outfiltering undesired stuff. Furthermore, the visual design of the "Clip" icon provided in the "Common" toolbar may be misleading, since it seems that one must select such "green region", similarly as in "Slice" filter (?)
Tested from Linux environment (Ubuntu-18.04LTS) with releases:
5.4.0: "invert" flag is disabled by default
5.6.0: "invert" flag is enabled by default
5.8.0 (5.8.0-499-ga73504be): "invert" flag is enabled by default
