Clip filter: Crinkle clip performs a slice rather than a clip

• Start ParaView
• Load diskout_ref.ex2
• Add Clip filter. Enable Crinkle clip option.

A crinkle slice is extracted rather than an object with a crinkled clipped surface.

Toggling the Crinkle clip option leads to a slice extraction with 5.8-RC2. Working fine with PV 5.7.

Cannot reproduce. Please list property settings explicitly or attach a state file.

Wait that was a Slice filter (that's why clearl steps to reproduce are needed). I see the crinkle slice with the Clip filter.

Fixed in release. Will be fixed in master when VTK is bumped there.

This is not fixed with what I am seeing. Now crinkle clip has no effect. Here is how to replciate:

• OS X, 5.8.0, builtin server OR Linux, master, builtin server.
• Load disk_out_ref.exo. Apply.
• Clip. Crinkle Clip. Grab the end of the arrow, and drag it around a bit. I don't want the plane on the X, Y or Z axis. Apply.

No crinkle clip. Clip is smooth. This is a bug.

This should be fixed again in master. The subtlety here was that the if you chose "Crinkle clip" the first time, it wouldn't work, but if you turned it off, applied, turned it back on, it would work.

It now works the first time in master and it will be fixed in 5.8.1.
